This Giving Tuesday, IndieSpace will be doing the giving at our annual The Big Give event.
We also want to spend the day showcasing the Giving Tuesday campaigns for indie theater companies. Below are several amazing companies, collectives, productions, and venues that you can support this Giving Tuesday. Please check out their work and, if you can, help them with a donation!

Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble LLC (IRTE)
We're thrilled to announce IRTE's Annual Fundraising Campaign for the 2023/2024 season, celebrating 12 years of innovative comedy theater productions. We've certainly faced our fair share of challenges over the years, including economic uncertainty and dwindling resources. Balancing artistic innovation with financial sustainability can be a delicate tightrope for independent theaters, but with your support, we're striving to meet our $7,500 fundraising goal and bring another exciting season to life.
Good Light Productions, LLC
GLP is celebrating 5 seasons of producing original plays by underrepresented creatives, and celebrating the people who have helped us to add good light to the world. Our Giving Tuesday Campaign will help fund the development of two new plays by Black women playwrights. These are two stories that have been in the dark far too long AND must be told!
Quick Silver Theater Company
QSTC commits to a body of work that reflects our mission to amplify the collective voice, individual potential, and visibility of people of color, women, and other marginalized groups within the American theatrical landscape.
QSTC shall continue to reach back and give back by commissioning new works from under-produced playwrights, by mentoring emerging theater-makers of color, and by making every effort to cast our shows to reflect its community.
Artists who have participated in our programming can always find a home and safe space.
KPC - Keeping People Connected
"OutCry" spotlights social injustices perpetrated in America against the Global Majority, with a massive focus on Black Lives Matter and creating mental health care resources through spoken word, music, and movement on film.
“OutCry” acts as the catalyst to end the criminalization of mental illness, especially in Black and Brown communities, and ensure that people with mental health crises have access to adequate care in their most vulnerable moments and are not met with police retaliation and force.
ZCO/Dance Project, The Kingdom Dance Company and KPC - "Keeping People Connected" join forces to take “OutCry” to the next level heading into 2024, creating awareness and a call for action to end police brutality across America.

The Neurodivergent New Play Series is a monthly new play reading series running since 2023 currently presented as part of spit&vigor's curated programming. We are a young theatre organization made for neurodivergent audiences, by neurodivergent artists. For nearly 20 years, the New York Neo-Futurists have delivered fresh, relevant, and vibrant work to audiences in NYC and beyond. Et Alia Theater is raising funds for their next production: "Until Dark" by Italian playwright Federica Borlenghi. The play reflects on consent and the intricacies of sisterhood, while testing its ties and boundaries. Be part of our mission and help us enlarge the community of international women artists in NYC - there are already women from 4 different countries involved in this production and we want more!
Frigid New York
In 2024, FRIGID is working to strengthen our resources for indie theater artists and we can’t do this without your support! Each year, FRIGID presents award-winning festivals, dozens of monthly programs, and artist residencies for hundreds of artists and the next generation of theater leaders. In order to continue to bring powerful performances to our stage and directly serve artists, we need your support to reach our $35,000 campaign goal.

The Clementine Players is a collective of creatives making bold, inclusive work that aims to remind us of what unites us. In the next year, we hope to continue our mission of giving our widely talented company the chance to practice their craft by highlighting diverse perspectives, practicing gender and type-blind casting, and allowing the development of new work on the stage, in film, and audio format. Theatre of the Oppressed NYC (TONYC) partners with community members to devise and perform plays based on their lived experiences confronting economic inequality, racism, and other social, health, and human rights injustices. This year, TONYC is honored to be among twenty finalists for the Brooklyn Org's 2024 Spark Prize, which awards $100,000 annually to five nonprofits advancing racial justice and addressing critical challenges in communities throughout NYC. The Fire This Time Festival
The Fire This Time Festival has amplified more than 100 early career and under-represented Black playwrights for a decade through our core programming which includes an annual fully produced ten-minute play program, play readings and our New Works Lab.
Many of our playwrights have gone on to have their work presented regionally, in commercial theater and on digital platforms.

Turkish American Repertory Theater and Entertainment -TARTE-
Turkish American Repertory Theater have been working on Turkish classics and original plays and musicals by our diverse writers group for the past 13 years. The main focus of the company is to collaborate with writers, actors and directors of different backgrounds to exhibit new works in order to establish cultural exchange.
A major goal this coming year is to bring our productions to a diverse audience base that includes plays not only for adults and children but also, for example, crafted for the hearing impaired and for autistic children.

Arachne Theater
As Arachne Theater begins our fourth year of operation, we’re looking to meet a three goals: maintain storage for our stock of sustainable costumes, expand our summer season, and increase artist pay. CLASSIX
CLASSIX was created to explode the classical canon through an exploration of Black performance history and dramatic works by Black writers. We define these classic works as plays by authors of African descent from around the world that speak profoundly to the times in which they were written and resonate deeply with our own. CLASSIX engages artists, historians, students, professors, producers and audiences to launch these plays into the public imagination and spark productions worldwide.
