Houghton Hall Arts - Discounted Space for IndieSpace Community
Our friends at Houghton Hall Arts Community (HHAC) are seeking mission-driven arts groups interested in joining a growing community hub that offers reasonably priced spaces and resources in midtown Manhattan for rehearsals, classes, meetings, workshops, and events.
HHAC is a vibrant rehearsal, meeting, and gathering space for performing and visual artists offering a mutually beneficial relationship with the Church of the Transfiguration, an inclusive church with historic ties to the theatre community. They are a strong, collaborative group of artists, independent and non-profit theatre companies, and arts entrepreneurs helping one another persevere and thrive in the competitive New York artistic marketplace.
HHAC would like to offer IndieSpace artists 50% off Beta user rates for first-time renters from 9am-4:30pm (rentals must end by 4:30pm) Mondays-Fridays through August 2023 as an incentive to establish your artistic home with us. Ideal for connection and networking, their bustling community space includes access to workspaces, rehearsal spaces, small event spaces, a theater library, a lounge, and a kitchen.
HHAC is in a Beta phase and is experimenting with different models to give them the insight they need to ultimately open to the community and grow their capacity.
Are you interested in directly contributing to their artistic impact? In helping build something from the ground up as studio spaces are closing across the boroughs? They would love to work with you!
If you are interested in this partnership, please review their Space Agreement and fill out the Beta User Application. Make sure to mention IndieSpace and write the code word NOMAD50 in your application to be considered for the discount.
