In April of 2022, we published Mental Health Resources for Black Theatre Artists, as a part of our work to uplift Black mental health in our community. This month, I would like to offer you a few more resources. If these seem helpful, I highly recommend checking out our previous blog post as well!
Healing Resources
— Dear Black Women Project : Your Care Package — An extensive care package including affirmation letters, Moments of Black Girl Love and Joy, resources, and much more!
— Harriet's Apothecary — An intergenerational, healing collective led by the brilliance and wisdom of Black Cis Women, Queer and Trans healers, artists, health professionals, magicians, activists and ancestors. They are committed to co-creating accessible, affordable, liberatory, all-body loving, all-gender honoring, community healing spaces that recognize, inspire, and deepen the healing genius of people who identify as Black, Indigenous and People of color and the allies that love us.

Therapist and Counseling Directories
— Backpack Healthcare — Formally, Hurdle Health, Backpack Healthcare provides accessible, inclusive, and comprehensive pediatric and family mental healthcare.
— Therapy for Black Men — An online network that provides a dedicated space for Black men to seek and find mental health support without the stigmatization and difficulty Black men usually face in finding help.
— BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective) — An online directory focused on providing information on Black wellness practitioners such as therapists, yoga teachers, mediators, and more.
— LGBTQ Psychotherapists of Color — An online directory of psychotherapists whose practitioners not only identify as LGBTQ POC but also serve the same community.
— National Association of Black Social Workers — The National Association of Black Social Workers, Inc., comprised of people of African ancestry, is committed to enhancing the quality of life and empowering people of African ancestry through advocacy, human services delivery, and research.

— Silent Symptoms: Black Mental Health Podcast — This podcast stemmed from the observing the lack of knowledge about mental health in the black community. The stigma about therapy and the lack of empathy about mental illnesses in the black community. There will be various topics that will resonate with most of you!
